Week two of conference play got underway yesterday, as Oregon held off Cal at home to climb to .500 in conference play, while Stanford went into Oregon State and took a six point victory. With two more games slated Thursday evening, before a Rocky Mountain showdown tomorrow, the conference picture will not become clear.
Arizona State (10-4, 0-1) @ USC (12-3, 1-1) should be a fun one to watch. The Sun Devils dropped their conference opener to Arizona, 94-82, in Tempe. A game which saw Bobby Hurley hit the showers early due to technicals. While USC went up north to Washington and split the trip, after blowing a 22-point lead against the Huskies. USC leads the All-Time series 51-38, and you can expect another victory tonight for the Men of Troy.
#7 Arizona (13-1, 1-0) @ UCLA (9-6, 0-2) will defintiely have some fireworks. The Wildcats held off their Territorial Cup rivals to start league play, while UCLA lost its opening two games for the second consecutive season, this time against the projected 11th and 12th place teams in pre-season polls. With the most losses of any Pac-12 side, the Bruins have also notched some solid victories, namely when they hosted, then, #1 Kentucky. They seem to play at their opponents level, and you can expect them to come out firing and motivated against the lone ranked team in the conference. UCLA leads the All-Time series, 54-39, though the Wildcats have taken the last two and three of the last four.
