Lakers' Ryan Kelly Out Indefinitely

Training camps just started getting underway, and the Lakers have lost sophomore forward, Ryan Kelly, for an indefinite amount of time after Kelly suffered a hamstring strain. Not a big loss, considering the Lakers have Carlos Boozer, Julius Randle, Ed Davis and Jordan Hill that can spot time at the four.

Kelly put up a solid 8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 22.2 minutes during his rookie campaign, but struggled from the field, shooting a mediocre 42.3/33.8 from the field/3 point. His passing skills were impressive for his size, and he has the skillset to become a nice bench big for years to come.
