Devastated by injuries, the Memphis Clippers, erm, Grizzlies have signed former Bruin and Los Angeles native Jordan Farmar. Speculations have that it is a 10-day contract to ease the loss of Mike Conley, among numerous others.
Drafted by the Lakers in 2006, with the 26th overall pick, Farmar has had stints with both Los Angeles teams and the New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets. Farmar was traded from the Clippers during the 2014-15 campaign and spent time in Israel, playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv. A career 37% shooter from three, his spacing and experience could work well for the gritty Grizzlies.
Along with Ryan Hollins, Matt Barnes, Zach Randolph, Alex Stepheson and Lance Stephenson, Farmar is the fifth former Clipper on the Grizzly roster, and the fourth UCLA Bruin, as Hollins, Barnes and Jordan Adams all played in Westwood.
